Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.

How can you be wealthier than the person ......
How can you be wealthier than the person who has enough?
"You might think you want an expensive car, a fancy watch, and a huge house. What you want is respect and admiration from other people, and you think having expensive stuff will bring it. It almost never does—especially from the people you want to respect and admire you.”
Morgan Housel
As Morgan Housel says, enough should not be a moving goal post. At some point, enough should be enough.
Different or better ?
"Working hard is overrated. Choosing what to work on and who to work on it with is underrated."
One of his core points is that we tend to confuse capitalism with competition. We tend to think that whoever competes best comes out ahead. In the race to be more competitive, we sometimes confuse what is hard with what is valuable. The intensity of competition becomes a proxy for value.

You can't have a plan B if you want to succeed....
There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.
You can't have a plan B if you want to succeed Why? Because when you have no Plan B, guess what? Plan A has to work. Focus is a key to do well in everything, focus focus focus. being a specialist doing just one thing and that is only possible if you are all in. No Plan B please....

Never blame even if you have something to blame
A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else. -John Burroughs
He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else.
Being honest with myself is something I like. I am happy that I don't make excuses when I make a mistake. This is a good way to improve in the fastest way.

Italy is different
Amazing
I am going to Italy for the 12th time in June. I know Rome well I would live there, the weather, the food, the scooters, the wine....
I went to Rome for the first time perhaps in 1985 with Schoenstatt and we were received by pope John Paul II . I loved Rome even without money. In my second visit during an Interrail I would take a night train to Milan to sleep and I would come back in the morning. At that time there were no cell phones and I spend almost one month with just 1 or 2 phone calls home.
Incredible the lack of supervision our parents had on those days.

What’s the number one form of differentiation
“What’s the number one form of differentiation in any industry? Being number one.”
- Marc Andreessen
“With limited time or opportunity to experiment, we intentionally narrow our choices to those at the top.”
— Seth Godin
From Fs Blog
There are tremendous benefits to being the best in any particular area. Top performers might be only slightly more skilled than the people one level below them, yet they receive an exponential payoff. A small difference in relative performance—an athlete who can run 100 meters a few microseconds faster, a leader who can make better decisions, an opera singer who can go a little higher—can mean the difference between a lucrative career and relative obscurity. The people at the tops of their fields get it all. They are the winners in that particular market. And once someone is regarded as the best, they tend to retain that status. It takes a monumental effort for a newcomer to rise to such a position. Every day new people do make it to the top, but it’s a lot easier to stay there than to get there.
I could not agree more, when you are a prospect if you know someone is the biggest you know there is no risk. If so many people buy there it must be ok. That is also why my wife wants to go to a crowded restaurant and not to a empty one. If you are number one you should let everybody know that. people don't want to take risks.
