Why Do Some Trees Live Longer Than Others?
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.

One well-known correlation in tree lifespan is growth rate. It is generally observed that, when factoring out natural disasters or other disturbances, slower growing tree species live longer than faster growing species.
Though situations like dramatic drought may kill a tree, consistent tolerable stress can actually increase lifespan by slowing growth.
A man watches his pear tree day after day, impatient for the ripening of the fruit. Let him attempt to force the process, and he may spoil both fruit and tree. But let him patiently wait, and the ripe pear at length falls into his lap.

Time is generally the best doctor.
I don't pay attention to my small health problems , most of them disappear with time. I have see a study with this conclusion. Higher life satisfaction is associated with fewer doctor visits, which may have important implications for reducing health care costs.
Of course if you don't go to the doctor you are happier it's like saying the more birthday parties you have the more you live, however I think most treatments are ineffective and doctors in my country give really bad advice. no exercise, stay at home etc.... No doctor prescribes sun, exercise go out with friends buy a dog.
The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will instruct his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet, and the cause and prevention of disease.
Never go to a doctor whose office plants have died.

I have noticed that sometimes when a company builds new headquarters normally it's a distraction , it's lost money. No one did more business for having new headquarters.

In Nick Murray book , SIMPLE Wealth , INEVITABLE Wealth he explains that investing should be like planting a tree. You plant , you watch , you put some water , you do nothing, you don't take her from the ground in the winter, during winter the tree does not grow and then in the spring and summer it grows again.
It gives you shade & fruit and when you die you leave it to your kids.

After disaster I had my first victory ever
After disaster in Stage 1 of TransPortugal I had my first victory ever in stage 6. TransPortugalMTB is a series of 8 Ultras in a Row. I did 55 hours last week on the bike. This year there was a lot of technical sections and I did an average of 18,5 km/h and finished 9th overall.
If you don't give up things change and from disaster I pulled out my first victory ever with help of my German friend Martin Crone.
It was one of the best moments of my life.

I ate everything there was to eat and then there was only water, the sun came and my legs were gone
I finish the stage on foot, I could not climb. I am still in the competition so far. anything can happen.

How to avoid an average life
Turn off the TV that is step 1.
- Watch TV. Spend countless hours watching television. Aim for at least 3-4 hours a day. Maybe one in the morning and definitely once you get home from work.
- Watch the News. News = fear. The more we let fear control us, the more average our life will be. That's why we watch the news. The news is our fear. When we start feeling confident and secure, just make sure to go to CNN and Fox to feel worse.
- Don't read books. Books? I stopped learning after College. I definitely won't be reading non fiction books. Everyone knows self help is a scam. I can't possibly improve.
- Wait until the New Year to create goals. Everyone knows this. Goals are only to be made as New Years Resolutions. It doesn't matter that the last 20 times I created them, they all failed. This year is different.
- No discipline. My word means nothing. It's less responsibility. I can do the important tasks, tomorrow. Why stress over it? I'd rather feel the pain of regret.
- Think you are special. I'm a special snowflake. My mom told me it and she knows better than everyone.
- Go on diets. Summer is coming! Might as well start this new fat blaster diet. It doesn't matter what I eat as long as I'm dieting.
- Hate Mondays. Ugh, Mondays are the worst. Back to work at the job I hate. The weekend is so far away! Sucks.
