THE CULPRIT
Looking at the big picture, the main culprit overriding the world environment is debt . World debt, for example, has surged 40% since the last recession in 2008. In the U.S., total debt is over $17 trillion and it’s doubled over the past seven years. That is, it has passed the tipping point. This means debt has become a load on the economy’s shoulders, weighing it down and fueling deflation.
