A really great talent finds its happiness in execution.
To do something well is very different from doing ok. That is everything I tried to explain to my kids. The best people I have worked with just do everything 5% or 10% better than average. In my house some people put the plates in a certain way in the washing machine and others make me go after them correct the job done.
That is all we need to know, the extra mile ....
Do more than is required. What is the distance between someone who achieves their goals consistently and those who spend their lives and careers merely following? The extra mile.

You can start right where you stand and apply the habit of going the extra mile by rendering more service and better service than you are now being paid for.

If you do business with serious people you need less contracts, if you do business with not reliable people you are careful. you do less things . a lot of paperwork etc... There is a big advantage to have the same business partners for many years. I have read that most of 100 year old companies (most family own) are located in Japan. To me Japanese are people that you can take their word. Very ethical & honest.
in the 90's I worked briefly for a company that sold music instruments, pianos etc... and the suppliers were Japanese of course. Everything was easy with these people they were for the long run.

I think money is not everything but I think is key to have money when you are old. It's a time that you can't work ,your health is disappearing you are vulnerable and sad with a bunch of new problems. You need some money when you are old and fragile. Otherwise the minimum is enough. I don't need a watch

I have a client that says It is what it is all the time. I think he knows how to live well. He has incredible success. I think if we are open to what comes we will have an easier life. Nothing is bad, it is what it is. Let god decide and we go with it. Anything is ok.

Yes its's not a mistake S&P 500 can touch 5000 today !
From crisis to crisis S&P goes up, why? well companies don't distribute all the profits...
In the bottom we can see from Prof. Siegel Stocks for the long Run that almost all democratic countries indexes produced the same profit in the last 50 years! Incredible Europe, Japan , world US all 9% or 05 in USD.
If you just buy & sit. No trading of course.
If you want to beat the Indexes you have to buy a lot of stocks and sit. That is what we do in Lisbon Family Office.

Each problem is an opportunity to extend government
how does government works?
If there is someone to help, some problem to address then you have the power to rule and to steal , that is the government job.
In my country anything that happens even god made problems the government assumes that it's their job.
cliffs near the sea fell and drowned some people that seek shade under the cliffs , government issued rules about security in the beach. Now it's regulated.
Each problem is an opportunity to extend government & of course more taxes
