Emma Morano died with 117 years in Italy

Wednesday, May 31, 2017 Francisco Carneiro 0 Comments

Those who live to be very old are never previously famous. Few in the world know them, and they know almost nothing in the world. Emma Morano had never been to Rome.

The Economist, Obituary

Poor woman worked from 13 to 55 in the same in a Jute factory sewing sacks for potatoes.

I guess i will not reach 100! Emma didn't race bikes or travel by plane almost every week (except July & August). I prefer to travel and meet new people but i feel great.

………….and the more I look into the fast-developing science, the more convinced I become. By convinced, I mean that I am quite sure that average life expectancy is going to go up sharply – and in the near future.

Spectacular product features can’t overcome poor service

The ability to deal with people is as purchasable a commodity as sugar or coffee and I will pay more for that ability than for any other under the sun.
John D. Rockefeller

From MJ de Marco book

Nothing overcomes poor human experiences!
You could own the best hotel in the world located on the best beach in California, but if customers are treated like inconveniences and requests go unfulfilled, they won't return.

How do you get to have a wonderful service? No company can pay a lot because people want good service but decent prices so how do you create a wonderful service without paying huge amounts of money.

you can do 3 things

a)Praise and pay for outstanding service and let all the company to know 1 outstanding story every month. pay & praise. kind of employee of the month in the MacDonalds

b)People are what they are, if there is two or 3 events with an employee just let him go. there are employees with people skills and ones that don't have. just clean the house every month

c)Treat your costumers and your employees in the same way. decently. to be an asshole with your employees and very nice with the clients does't work.

How to be a Superman

Friday, May 26, 2017 Francisco Carneiro 2 Comments

This is absolutely true! I am trying this for a week and the results are amazing! Eat PALIO and you will be a superman. No need to eat only if you want.

Yes. For me it lasts...every day.
I generally have to eat because I know I should instead of because I'm hungry.
Personally, I find it freeing and nice, except on that rare nice night out where the meal is extraordinary and I want to eat more but I feel super full.

The hunger you are used to is caused by a need for glucose --- low blood sugar.
Blood sugar is strictly regulated on a ketogenic diet, so you just simply do not experience hunger in the same way.

Business that solve needs win. Business that provide value win
MJ de Marco

“People care about what your business can do for them. How will it help them? What’s in it for them? Will it solve their problem? Make their life easier? Provide”
M.J. DeMarco, The Millionaire Fastlane

This is so true, if you are a plumber you solve a problem for sure, before the plumber arrives the toilet was ko now it's working. In many professions you don't know what you are doing for the client. That is not good.

who wants to be a plumber?

Friday, May 19, 2017 Francisco Carneiro 0 Comments

First, “do what you love” rarely creates money fast because more than likely, not only are you doing what you love but thousands of others love doing the same thing too.

MJ de Marco

So why is the field for personal trainers so saturated? simple. People follow the espoused guru-esque advice without reflection on need: "Do what you love." Unfortunately, if you love doing it, bet on thousands of others loving it too. When you do "What you love", prepare to face stiff competition. Who enjoys higher margins? The personal Trainer? Or the guy who starts a company to clean up crime scenes?

MJ de Marco

I couldn't agree more, not so nice professions and jobs pay much more than glamorous and nice jobs with good visibility. who wants to be a plumber? everybody wants to be a executive with a nice suit.....

"Do what you love" doesn't work! Sorry

Canada and Australia led a relatively charmed life through the great financial crisis of 2007-8, with their banking systems proving more robust than most. Yet it is possible that they may have a delayed reaction thanks to overheated property markets in some of their biggest cities.

PS My big thesis as become It doesn’t matter! It doesn’t matter if Trump is elected, he can’t change a lot, it doesn’t matter Brexit etc…. why because people have their lives freed a bit by the internet. The inefficient players go bankrupt the bubbles pop,  prices of everything come down, people live longer with better quality, violence is going down for 200 years etc… It doesn’t matter as long as commerce and trade are kind of free.

I don't see inflation and interest rates going up.

Difficult to make money doing things! (stuff)

To do stuff or to grow crops is very difficult to make real money. Where you make real money is in creating new products and new ways of distribution other people products.

here we have the Bloomberg Grain Index since 2012

Productivity makes everything cheaper

A way to make money is to be of service! Amazon is doing a big service to millions of costumers.

Since 2006, Amazon has reduced its total shipping cost by over 50% and increased its profit margins by between 5% and 14%, according to a working paper released Monday, authored by economists Jean-François Houde, Peter Newberry, and Katja Seim. Over the same period, prices at the online retailer have fallen by almost 40%, suggesting most of those savings in shipping costs are passed on to customers, they found separately.
