The Feel-good movement
The feel good society movement is the idea that if you say to your kids that they are a winner because they eat the cereals they will see themselves as winners. During the day you say that you are a champion in this ant that. I guess all society is in this right now including the armed forces.
“We deprive our children, our charges, of persistence. What I am trying to say is that we need to fail, children need to fail, we need to feel sad, anxious and anguished. If we impulsively protect ourselves and our children, as the feel-good movement suggests, we deprive them of learning-persistence skills.
